What Happens After a Customer Scans the QR Code

This guide explains exactly what your customers experience after scanning your campaign QR code.

Understanding this flow helps you optimize conversions and improve engagement.

Step 1: Customer Lands on Your Smart Funnel Page #

After scanning the QR code, your customer is taken to your branded funnel page.

This page can include:

  • Your logo and branding
  • A thank-you message
  • Instructions for redeeming a gift or promotion
  • Optional messaging customized per campaign

This creates a controlled post-purchase environment outside the marketplace.

Step 2: Customer Enters Contact Information #

To redeem their offer (if one is attached), customers are prompted to enter:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Optional order details

This allows you to:

  • Grow your email list
  • Build a direct customer relationship
  • Verify purchase eligibility

All data is stored inside your Claim Center dashboard.

Step 3: Customer Provides Product Feedback #

Customers are asked to rate their experience.

Depending on your configuration, this may include:

  • Star rating
  • Satisfaction level
  • Optional written feedback

At this point, Smart Review logic is triggered.

Step 4: Smart Review Routing #

The funnel automatically determines the next step based on the rating. This feature can be enabled or disabled at anytime in your campaign settings.

If the customer selects a positive experience: #

They are given the option to leave a review on your selected platform:

  • Amazon
  • eBay
  • Walmart
  • Etsy
  • Shopify
  • WordPress
  • Custom site

To stay 100% compliant, providing a review on the marketplace platform such as Amazon is completely voluntary and never mandatory. However, your customers feedback is always saved in your dashboard for your own review.

If the customer selects a neutral or negative experience: #

Their feedback is recorded privately inside your dashboard.

They are not directed to leave a public review.

This gives you the opportunity to:

  • Identify issues
  • Improve your product
  • Respond proactively

Step 5: Gift Redemption #

Once the funnel is completed, the claim appears in your Claims Center.

From there, you can:

  • Approve or reject claims
  • Deliver digital or physical gifts
  • Track redemption status
